Generally, Mint oils provide us with menthol, which is an organic compound. It is naturally in minty plants like peppermint and spearmint. However, Its cooling sensation is due to the chemical, triggering cold receptors in human skin. With this purpose in mind, it can treat throat irritation and external pains.

It found that herbal preparations with concentrations of menthol in the 30% to55% range were effective in decreasing inflammation in animals with a parasitic disease.

Antioxidant:

A study wrote in PLoS back in 2014, which proved that this type of terpene has properties of anti-oxidant and anti-inflammation. Also, they were testing on animals suffering from gastric ulcers.

Role of menthol in cannabis:

this type of terpene is present in many cannabis varieties. Green Monster, Wonder Woman OG, Himalayan Gold, Cabbage Patch and Space Needle are a few of them.
