Pistillate

Pistillate

Pistillate: It refers to the plant which has the ability to be either male or female. More often than not, the plants still contain can still maintain female reproductive cells. People who study plants see pistillate flowers by actually looking at their pistils. Also, they look at the stamen. Cannabis plants that are pistillate a worth more than staminate cannabis. However, we use the latter for breeding the plant itself.

In brief, 80 per cent of all plants are actually Angiosperms. Flowering is their way to reproduce, often bearing fruit. However, angiosperms split into two parts. Basically, because of the different ways they reproduce. Firstly, monoecious plants have both male and female parts. Secondly, dioecious angiosperm grows as either a male or a female plant. This means it cannot be both. For example, cannabis is a dioecious plant. Cannabis sex cells separate either as a male or female plant.
